Chickens
In anticipation of actually moving to our farm (and because of the lack of patience while waiting), my husband decided to give in and let me get some chickens while we were still at our place in Brighton. What this really meant was a lot of work for him (God bless him. I love that man.). He is THE MASTER of saving money on building projects. Between hitting up the scrap lumber sales and recycling materials that were leftover from other projects (either ours or friends'), he was able to put together a chicken coop and a fenced in run for a small amount of money.
I really like having chickens. I had no idea I would like it this much. They are so funny to watch. The red one in this picture talks to me whenever she sees me outside. But, you know what the best part about having chickens is? They feed you breakfast. YUM!
